Immunizations

This afternoon I went to the travel doctor to talk about immunizations and ended up being immunized with nearly everything that is recommended. I received adult polio (the childhood one only lasts until 18), typhoid fever, and the first shot of hepatitis A. The second hepatitis A shot I'll get after I come back from South Africa. The shot I was given today is 90% of the immunization so I'll be okay to go to Cape Town. Two of the immunizations were in my left arm and now it is so sore. I can barely move my arm without being in pain. The soreness should go away within a few days. I've taken some ibuprofen and hopefully that will ease the soreness.

Bought Plane Tickets

I apologize for my lack of updating. I am now working full-time and preparing for South Africa. In fact, last night I bought my plane ticket to Cape Town! I'm flying Delta, from Detroit to New York (JFK) and then New York to Cape Town, with one stopover to refuel. That second flight is 19 hours long! That will be the longest I'll ever have been on a plane. I'm ecstatic. I cannot wait to go. I still need more money, however, about three thousand more dollars. My work is planning to sponsor me, my boss told me today that he'll give me $1000. So I'm very excited about that. I STILL need to send out my college graduation announcements. That is on this weekend's agenda. Hopefully, family and friends will give me money and that will go towards my trip.

My computer screen background is of the Cape Town coast. It's BEAUTIFUL!
