Fundraising Update

Today I went to Athens High School and sorted pop cans and recyclable bottles. Added that to the already numerous garbage bags full of pop bottles, the bottles from Sandy, and my family's bottles, I yielded $107 today! So thank you to everyone who continues to support me with their donated cans and bottles.

This weekend is the subdivision garage sale so I'm cashing in on that. My family and I are downsizing the amount of clutter we have and selling it. The proceeds will go towards my fundraising. I'll also have a jar out that people can donate spare change in if they want. I'm thrilled with the way things are progressing for my trip.

I've just been hired at Digital Finishing Group and will be working there part time in order to fundraise my trip as well.

Thank you again and come to Lawson Dr. in the Troy Meadows subdivision in Troy (SW corner of Livernois and Wattles). Email southafricaccs@katdavis.net if you need further directions. Thank you!

Thank you Grandma & Grandpa!

Thank you to Ken & Joan, my grandparents for donation of $300. Today I graduated from Grand Valley so any graduation gift money will go towards my trip to South Africa.

Thank you for your donation, Grandma and Grandpa. I deeply appreciate it.

Newspaper Article

The newspaper article ran in the Troy Eccentric today! View the article

I think the article is great exposure. It will definitely be included in subsequent donation request letters. I was slightly disappointed my contact information was not included, so I emailed the reporter to ask why. It probably was an editorial decision or something, but I would like to know why.
